Netscape Communicator has an updated user interface that includes:

• IMAP and POP for distributed mail access
• mail filters to manage incoming mail
• better integration with the desktop with drag and drop capabilities
• LDAP support for better management of user information
• HTML editing with spell checking for mail and news composition

Netscape Navigator Lite includes all the features of Communicator except integrated mail and news.

Finding Help

Netscape's online help provides a wealth of information on using this product. From the menu bar, choose Help > Help Contents.

The release notes cover information specific to configuring and using Netscape Communicator or Navigator Lite on Silicon Graphics systems. From the menu bar, choose Help > Release Notes. If you are configuring your Netscape Communicator mail or upgrading from MediaMail, see About Netscape Mail. (This link only works if you have Netscape 4.05 installed).

Silicon Graphics' Info Search lets you find all the information available on a topic using a keyword search. Info Search looks through all the release notes, man pages, and online books you have installed on your system or on a networked server. From the Toolchest on your desktop, choose Help > Info Search.

Quick Answers tells you how to connect to an Internet Service Provider (ISP). From the Toolchest on your desktop, choose Help > Quick Answers > How Do I > Connect to an Internet Service Provider.
